Talented People

Jonny, Robbie (fiddle) and Tommy (guitar), known as the Sleepy Man Banjo Boys, are 10, 14 and 15. In 2011, they got calls from The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and in the summer of 2011 they appeared as musical guests on The Late Show with David Letterman and NBC’s Today Show. Their first album, America’s Music, was released in September 2011. In October 2012 they released their second album, The Farthest Horizon. They are so talented!

'Merica (SMH)

Obama pushed for Congress to include expanded background checks in any gun package and the White House campaigned in support of the compromise. However, the National Rifle Association promised retribution against supporters of tougher gun laws. The final vote was 54 for to 46 against.

LGBT

The survey, which asked 120,000 American adults whether they identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, found that 6.4% of people aged 18 to 29 said they were LGBT: about three times more than people over age 65. But do results like these indicate that younger adults are more likely to be LGBT, or are they simply more likely to acknowledge it? It's probably the latter.

Football Player In Jail

Manti T'eo is going to jail for drug abuse. the 22 year old football star for Notre Dame was caught with several ounces of cocaine yesterday.

Woman Found in Car Days After Crash

The body of Carolyn Watkins, was found inside her wrecked car at a tow yard on Monday, the same day family members said they reported her missing. Her car was taken to the yard Friday after a trooper discovered it in a ditch in Johnston County, North Carolina.The trooper said that no one was in the vehicle. That report has since been called into question, and authorities said they are working to get to the bottom of the case.

Scary North Korea

u.s. navy confirmed it's moving a guided missile destroyer to South Korea. North Korea is saying that it has authorized it's military to launch nuclear bombs. It's hard to know how seriously to take these claims. Are they empty threats? I don't think that's a chance anyone is willing to take.
