Education

My view on education is that it is generally approached in the wrong way. If students aren't engaged in what they are learning, teachers tend to give up on them and focus on the kids who are interested in a given subject. As a result, the kids who are not interested get the idea that their learning is not important to that teacher. If it's not important to their teacher, why should it be important to them?

Personally, I believe that if the city cannot afford to pay for them out of pocket, the public should come together in fundraisers. The city could sponsor events that raise money for the victims. It would also be unifying for a community to come together and take care of their own.
