Year Of The Comet

On March 9, Comet PANSTARRS makes its closest approach to the Sun, when it may reach magnitude –1.0. Because it stands 15° east of the Sun, we'll have an hour to spot it low in the west after sunset. For the next two weeks, the Comet PANSTARRS will glow to naked eyes at a dark site.
